Injective Becomes First L1 With SEC Transfer Agent Registration
2026-08-21 14:43

Woofun AI reports that Injective's institutional services division has secured registration as a securities transfer agent with the SEC, marking the first time a Layer 1 blockchain holds this designation. This status permits the platform to manage ownership records, transfers, distributions, and shareholder relations for tokenized assets including institutional funds, listed stocks, private equity, and corporate receivables in compliance with U.S. regulations.

The network has deployed markets for digital asset finance firms and equities in entities such as SpaceX and OpenAI, alongside the Injective Mint Alpha tokenization platform. In July, POSCO International and LG CNS selected Injective for a trade financing pilot to tokenize and settle international trade receivables.
