Woofun AI reports that Ripple executed a dual strategy of minting fresh RLUSD stablecoins and burning existing supply, coinciding with a sharp rally in XRP price action across the XRP Ledger and Ethereum network.
The minting sequence began with a confirmed issuance of 900,000 units, verified by XRPScan on the XRP Ledger. This transaction followed a larger batch of 20 million RLUSD issued three hours prior. Earlier in the cycle, two separate issuances of 10 million units each occurred approximately 11 hours before the latest event, alongside additional blocks of 12 million and 32 million minted over the preceding 24 hours leading up to August 20, 2026.
Concurrently, the company managed supply through significant burn operations. Per Woofun AI, 15.4 million RLUSD were burned from the treasury, while another 20 million units were removed from the Ethereum network. This balance between creation and destruction suggests active liquidity rotation rather than simple expansion, supporting the asset's multi-network infrastructure.
In the secondary market, XRP price surged to $1.25, marking an 18.8% gain over the last 24 hours. The token recovered from a low of $1.03 to a peak of $1.24, representing a nearly 20% rebound. Cumulative performance metrics show a 7-day gain of 21.2% and a 30-day return of 16.5%, reflecting strong momentum.
Sustained growth will depend on institutional volume and absorption during upcoming corporate settlement periods. The protocol is scheduled to release periodic audited reserve reports at the monthly close, detailing the financial backing for these newly minted batches.
