The Central Intelligence Agency of the United States stated that it will integrate AI colleagues directly into its analysis platforms to assist analysts in identifying spies and predicting the actions of foreign hostile forces.

According to reports, CIA Deputy Director Michael Ellis said at an event held in Washington, D.C.: Within the next few years, all of our analysis platforms will be equipped with AI colleagues—these top-secret generative AI technologies will help analysts perform routine tasks.

As reported by Politico, Ellis mentioned that these AI colleagues will assist intelligence officers in drafting critical judgments, verifying analysis results, and identifying trends in intelligence data collected from overseas.

However, he emphasized that humans will still be responsible for making critical decisions.
