Woofun AI reports that Bitmine Immersion Technologies has solidified its position as the holder of the world’s largest corporate Ether treasury, a status underscored by Chairman Tom Lee’s assertion that the rising ETH/BTC ratio signals strengthening momentum for the asset. This strategic posture stands in direct contrast to Strategy, which has recently halted its Bitcoin accumulation, marking a distinct divergence in how major public companies are positioning their digital asset reserves amidst shifting market dynamics.
The company’s total holdings now stand at 5.79 million Ether, representing approximately 4.8% of the cryptocurrency’s total supply, after acquiring nearly 10,000 ETH over the past week.
Structurally, about 4.9 million ETH, or roughly 85% of these holdings, are actively staked through validator operations.
Woofun AI data shows that once fully deployed across its infrastructure and partner validators, these assets are projected to generate annualized staking rewards of $299 million. As of July 26, the combined value of the company’s crypto holdings, cash, and marketable securities reached $11.8 billion.
Performance metrics further illustrate this competitive divergence, with Ether gaining 2.4% over the past seven days while Bitcoin fell roughly 0.7%. The ETH/BTC ratio has climbed to a three-month high, a trend Tom Lee highlighted as indicative of Ether’s relative strength. While Bitmine continues to expand its Ether position, it remains second only to Strategy among public companies by the total value of digital asset holdings, yet their acquisition strategies are no longer aligned.
Strategy’s recent financial maneuvers include raising $544.5 million through stock sales and repurchasing $25 million of its STRC preferred shares, while increasing its US dollar reserve to $3.75 billion. Despite these capital adjustments, Strategy maintained its Bitcoin holdings at 843,775 BTC, effectively pausing new accumulation. This marks a clear strategic split, with Bitmine doubling down on Ether yield generation while Strategy consolidates its existing Bitcoin position.
