Woofun AI reports that TRON has surpassed 400 million total accounts, a milestone driven by the addition of 100 million new accounts in just 16 months, according to data from TRON DAO.
The acceleration in user acquisition stands in stark contrast to earlier periods; the network required four years to reach its first 100 million accounts and did not cross the 200 million mark until December 7, 2023. Since launching its genesis block on June 25, 2018, the chain has processed 15.2 billion transactions, accumulating a total transfer volume of approximately $30 trillion as of August 23, 2026.
Stablecoin utility remains the primary engine for this activity, with TRON settling 51.4% of all circulating USDT, a supply that reached $94.2 billion this week after a single-day increase of $3 billion. The network also handles 52% of global low-value USDT transfers, supporting an average of 4.64 million active accounts over the past 30 days, with daily peaks exceeding 5 million.
This profile diverges significantly from Ethereum, which leads in decentralized finance with roughly 500,000 daily transacting addresses compared to Bitcoin's 350,000. Per Woofun AI, institutional interest is further evidenced by TRON's inclusion in the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index and partnerships with Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial.
Corporate accumulation continues alongside these metrics, as Tron Inc. purchased 145,199 TRX at an average price of $0.3444, bringing its holdings to 711.5 million TRX valued near $245 million. With TRX trading at $0.3357, down 1.1% daily but up 1% weekly, the token maintains a market capitalization of $31.87 billion.
