Woofun AI reports that Solana ETFs extended their inflow streak to five sessions as of Aug. 18, with SOL overtaking XRP in daily volume amid a record capital surge involving Bitwise, Fidelity, and Grayscale.
The products added $33.5 million, marking the largest single-day total of the year and pushing cumulative net totals to a record $1.22 billion. This surge was accompanied by $166.8 million in trading volume, the highest since October 2025. Bitwise's BSOL dominated with $25 million, lifting its cumulative figure to $948.2 million, or roughly 80% of all capital entering U.S. spot SOL products. Fidelity's FSOL added $4.8 million, while Grayscale's GSOL brought in $3.7 million.
Across the five days, Solana ETFs accumulated $61.8 million, following an earlier 21-day streak after launching on Oct. 28 when they attracted more than $620 million. This renewed momentum aligns with SOL's technical breakout, climbing from the mid-$70 range to about $100 after clearing its long-term average at $89.45.
Woofun AI data shows trading volume increased sharply during this move, adding credibility to the rally.
The most recent session highlighted Solana's advantage over XRP, with Solana ETFs recording about $33.49 million in inflows compared to XRP's $13.82 million, putting SOL ahead by roughly $19.67 million for the day.
However, broader data shows a more balanced landscape: XRP ETFs hold $1.57 billion in cumulative net inflows and about $1.44 billion in net assets, compared to Solana's $1.22 billion and $1.21 billion, respectively. SOL is attempting to establish itself above the key $100 level, though its daily RSI near 87 signals overbought conditions. XRP has also staged a strong recovery, rising from about $1.00 to $1.48 and reclaiming its long-term average at $1.35, with an RSI near 80.
While the $20 million daily gap between the assets is small relative to their market caps, sustained strength in Solana ETFs could reinforce SOL's breakout if support holds around $89–$90. This dynamic suggests that short-term flow dominance does not yet equate to long-term asset superiority for SOL against XRP.
