Woofun AI reports that Solana achieved a historic milestone in July, processing a record 4.2 billion transactions while SOL reclaimed the $100 threshold for the first time since February. This convergence of network utility and price appreciation signals a robust recovery phase for the blockchain.
The deeper driver is the sustained acceleration in on-chain throughput, which rose 13.5% month-over-month to reach the 4.2 billion mark. Since December, transaction counts have expanded by approximately 2 billion, representing a cumulative 91% increase. This trajectory underscores a fundamental shift in user engagement and network capacity utilization over the past several months.
Structurally, this activity coincides with a broader expansion in tokenized real-world assets across distributed networks. Per Woofun AI, the total value of tracked RWAs has climbed above $38 billion, with Solana specifically hosting nearly $4 billion in such assets. This represents an 11.8% increase on the network over the past month, highlighting its growing role in institutional-grade asset tokenization.
The price rally, characterized by a 40% surge over eight days, was further catalyzed by macroeconomic developments. The US Treasury Department announced plans to double certain long-dated bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation, lowering yields and lifting risk appetite. This marks a clear correlation between traditional finance liquidity injections and crypto market momentum.
